Even if you could think that february is not the best weather period to ride a 300 km, the day trip I had last week-end was absolutely awesome.

Leaving around 10.30 am from Chiasso, I drove trough the SS36 from Lecco to Morbegno passing trough Colico.  In Piagno, a small town before Morbegno, you are forced to drive trough the old road heading to Tirano, Bormio and Livigno.

Usually it is a very busy road, by the fact it is the only one leading to different Valtellina ski track, but surprisingly it was almost empty. No better condition to relax on your bike surrounded by snowed mountain despite a clean road. Temperature was around 3 C.

Anyway the best part was after my lunch coming back lakeside. Accidentally I was late on my schedule so I hit the sunset around Gravedona. Result is what you can see in the photos on top!
